Luminare wedding photos–by James Harvie Photography

Luminare for your wedding photos in South Melbourne delivers the perfect backdrop presenting the stunning Melbourne skyline. Luminare is chic and super classy and ripe for excellent South Melbourne wedding photography.

The day began at Steve’s home. The atmosphere was relaxed and the boys delivered some great humour to help get those smiles happening.

Arriving at the bride’s home things were a bit more serious. The scent of hair spray drifted through the apartment as hair and make up was in full swing.  I began with the details shots and managed to get some stunning close ups using my dedicated Macro lens.

I love showing my clients a snip of the wonderful pics as I begin to record the days events. This wedding had some stunning items to capture.  The Louis Vuitton wedding shoes we gorgeous and classical. This is the 2ndwedding this season my clients have had these shoes. The dress by Suzanne Harward was just a timeless masterpiece.

Photographing high end wedding details is pure joy. Sometimes I can get very bogged down in making sure the angles of these wedding detail items present just perfect. In the end it’s definitely worth it when I show my bride a snapshot of the progression.

The ceremony was held in traditional style at St Peters and Pauls Catholic Church  377 Dorcas Street South Melbourne.  Church weddings are now rare but this Church has real character. I could see a balcony and upon investigation found an unused ancient staircase to reach the top. This gave my couple a wonderful shot from above. It often looks stunning in Black and white.

After the group shots we headed to Fitzroy gardens which was tricky being a Friday and the Melbourne Grand Prix in full swing. I rode with the Limo car to avoid the hassle of parking and eating into photography time. I am finding myself frequenting these gardens on numerous occasions. Late afternoon you can be welcomed by some lovely soft light which just gives your wedding images a wonderful feel.

Once we were finished here we headed back to Luminare. I began with capturing some wonderful fly on the wall type images. My couples love these as I can just shoot away with a long zoom and capture those very natural images of people just having fun. The wedding party introduction was a real blast. It began with the very cute page boy riding in a remote control car. Very in line with the Grand Prix. It was so funny to see and the guests were in fits of laughter.

The 1stdance was a spectacular feat and wonderful to capture. I really do enjoy grabbing those amazing dance moves performed by the guests.

By the end of my photography I really felt satisfied in helping capture some truly amazing footage of the day unfold.

The wedding suppliers really need to be thanked for without their hard work this day would not have been possible. So thank you all.
