Same Sex Wedding Photographer Mornington Peninsula – James Harvie Photography
Ally-Jade and Erin were my first same sex wedding and right from our first meeting we all just hit it off. Ally-Jade is so passionate about her photography and really loved my natural fun artistic style.
Like many of my weddings this one was up around the city with the ceremony being held at Mamma Vittoria restaurant in Fitzroy. Mamma Vittoria just oozes Italian Character and has been around since 1982. The building has a lovely rustic feel to it, and upstairs the light was simply divine. The light was pretty minimal but my equipment can easily deal with that. Celebrant Bronte Price did an absolutely fabulous job. He was vibrant, funny and confident which is everything you could expect from one of Melbourne’s finest in the game.
The location shoot is my favourite part for wedding photography and I think I like it so much as its when I can really get the creative components flowing. This is where I try to put together an amazing landscape to compliment a wedding couple. I love to just bring out the natural beauty of all the elements. We headed to Fitzroy gardens where there is my favourite row of trees. You can use these trees to perfectly frame your client. The conditions were just perfect. With a long lens I was able to direct Ally-Jade and Erin to just do their thing. In fact they worked really well together and I feel this really shines through in the images. You can see some of the images in this blog.
Congratulations to you both and I feel privileged to help capture your wonderful wedding memories. Also a massive thank you to all your wonderful suppliers.
