Finding that special Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding location can be quite a task with so many options to choose from. So to make it easier for you I thought it would be a wonderful idea to give you all a list of what I consider the top spots.

James Harvie Photography have been photographing weddings across the Mornington Peninsula & Melbourne since 2001 so we have some good knowledge about the best spots.

Whilst the idea of a Mornington Peninsula beach wedding might sound great you need to be aware that:

1/ Usually a Mornington Peninsula beach wedding means you are exposed to the elements of wind, sand, rain and harsh sunshine. Many of these are not conducive to a relaxed atmosphere and fabulous photography.

2/ You will need to contact local council for permission and guidelines.

3/ Will your wedding guests be happy with a Mornington Peninsula beach wedding atmosphere, considering the exposure to the elements?

4/ Will your guests have access to accommodation and easy transport to your Mornington Peninsula beach wedding. It might be best to organise a bus.

So here are my top Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding locations:

1/ All Smiles – Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding

All smiles offers you superb views across Sorrento Back beach without having to be on the sand. The relaxed cocktail style atmosphere is superb as is the food.

2/ Point King – Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding

Point King Sorrento is set up high on the cliff tops and offers wonderful views across the bay. After the ceremony you can head down the beach amongst the cute jetties for some amazing Mornington Peninsula beach wedding photography.

3/ Koonya Back Beach – Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding

Rather exposed but offers spectacular views out to the ocean and amazing cliff and rock formations. One wedding we had here many guests cooled off in the rock pools.

4/ Ranelagh Club Mt Eliza – Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding

Ranelagh is tucked away from the traffic and looks straight out across Port Phillip Bay. Right after the ceremony you can slip down to the beach below for some stunning Mornington Peninsula wedding Photography.

5/ Mount Martha – Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding

Mount Martha South Beach is another nice spot for your Mornington Peninsula wedding. The beach is very clean and the water can be very calm with a gorgeous blue. Sometimes glare off the sand is an issue here, so sunglasses are a must.

6/ Balnarring – Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding

Over on Westernport Bay the beaches are quite rustic and less crowded. The water is usually quite calm but beware the seaweed.

7/ Shoreham – Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding

Up amongst the trees above Shoreham beach on Cliff Road is another rustic spot.

So there you have it some of the top Mornington Peninsula Beach wedding locations.
